Arches

Arches National Park in Southern Utah was fantastic. We were on the trail by 7 a.m. for a 5 mile hike to see 6 amazing stone arches. The further we hiked the fewer people we saw, until we were basically alone on the trail. The arches were amazing, the sky startlingly blue and the temps were near 100. Our sun block clothing, hats, hydration systems and pre-trip physical conditioning helped, but by the end of 5 miles we were all dragging.
The Partition Arch was our favorite; you were able to climb all over the formation, and it had a great view.

We hiked through a fin canyon, an unusual rock formation.

This is the Double-O Arch, we call it the Bond Arch. Double OO-Q is seen standing on the arch. It was not a simple feat to get up there! IVO is in the lower arch.

Again, we really like reading your comments. You will need to create a username and password before you can leave us a message.

We hope you are having a great summer.

The Arches pictures are really nice. I really like the family photo under the arch.

I wanted to tell you that last week we were up at our cabin in the north woods of PA and were listening to the local radio station one morning when they announced their "Question of the Day". It was. . . A man by the name of Forester(sp?) was the first person to manufacture this item in the US in the town of Strong, Maine. What was this item?" Of course we looked at each other and started running for the phone book. But by the time we figured which radio station we were listening to and dialed, somebody else had gotten it. We couldn't believe it!! It could have been a free pizza! Anyway, we thought you'd find that funny.

I think by now you may be at your friends house in California. Keep us posted.
