The Journey begins…

The Journey begins…

Actually it began about a year ago when we were in the depths of graduate school, working full time jobs, parenting, running a small business, and trying to not go crazy. One of us suggested a big road trip to celebrate our graduation. Now, just weeks after receiving official notification of the acceptance of our final portfolios, we are nearly ready to roll. We plan to follow the last buses out of the school yard and begin our 9 week long American west road trip.

The 4 of us intend to use this blog to chronicle our journey. We will post thoughts, images, ideas and anything else that moves us. Keep visiting this site to see what we are up to.

You guys are awesome! I know you'll have great adventures. I look forward to living vicariously through you all this summer while I'm building the garage (boring.) Travel safe.

The Mitman clan ROCKS! What a fantastic family adventure. We shall track your exploits and dream of one day "leaving it all behind" just like our grown up friends. Enjoy every moment! (even the fighting in the back seat!) C

You are going to have such a great time. We just came up with 4 tickets to Hershey park for you to begin your trip with a bang. Hopefully your Dad won't throw out his neck and be miserable the whole trip. The new Farenheight coaster looks like a trip.... If you set up a facebook to download your photos as you go, friend me so that I can follow along with Ivy and Steve's pictures. Looking forward to traveling along. ROAD TRIP!!!!!

We are stitting in a curriculum development meeting at school and my mind is wandering. I'm thinking of the backpacking in the Rocky Mountains and wishing we were traveling along with you guys this Summer. Spring is here and we are picking 100 quarts of Strawberries a day. The next week is going to be in the 90's and humid. Looking forward to your visit.

Great photos of a great trip.
My favorite was Q's photo of wildflowers in the Rockies near Silverton. Well done!
